Prior to becoming a Professional Mortgage Agent, Derek spent more than 20 years serving the public in the capacity of a Police Officer, a Paramedic, and also as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Now a licensed Mortgage Agent with Invis Inc., Derek is licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (#M08001851) and holds the professional designation AMP (Accredited Mortgage Professional), and is regarded as a residential and refinance specialist.

A long-time resident of the Aylmer area, many residents of Aylmer and Elgin County have entrusted their mortgage and refinancing needs to Derek.

His favorite saying is: "Success means that we go to bed at night knowing that we have used our talents and abilities to best serve the needs of others".

When he is not arranging mortgages, which is very seldom, you can find Derek rescuing lost and abused animals and rehabilitating and saving orphaned and injured wildlife.

When we return wild animals to nature, we merely return them to what is already theirs... for man cannot give wild animals freedom, they can only take it away.
